ScheduleOnce for colleges & universities

I bought ScheduleOnce after years of scheduling students advising appointments using group email. This was always an unwieldy task, and it always took time to adjust to everyone’s schedule.

ScheduleOnce is the best thing out there for scheduling a block of appointments within a limited time frame. Once a complicated and bothersome task, scheduling student appointments for individual advising and discussion groups is now a breeze.

The set-up is quick and easy, students are immediately notified, and students’ names are immediately added to my gmail calendar once they choose a time. I unconditionally recommend this program to everyone in academia.

As a graduate student, ScheduleOnce allows me to quickly and easily schedule meetings with my undergraduate research assistants. Previously, I had to contact each person individually (sometimes as many as 10 different people!) and then comb through their responses to find a time that everyone would be available.

Now, all I have to do is post my availabilities online and my research assistants can simply indicate when they are free. A quick glance, and I know exactly when to have our next meeting. They love it, I love it.

I used to use Doodle.com to schedule meetings, but felt somewhat limited by the format. I have since switched to ScheduleOnce to schedule meetings for group projects with classmates, social gatherings with friends, and meetings with other work associates. Once, I even recommended ScheduleOnce to a professor who was attempting to schedule a class meeting by emailing students and requesting their individual availability. Needless to say, we received a litany of conflicting dates and times that were difficult to sort through, and it looked as if a handful of students would have to miss the class. My professor then used ScheduleOnce to develop a meeting time that accommodated the schedule of all the students, and everyone was grateful that nobody had to miss the class after all.

I love ScheduleOnce for the following reasons:

• ScheduleOnce provides meeting attendees with the freedom to select their availability WITHIN time frames. Other online schedulers only allow users to select "yes" or "no" to a particular time, without being able to specify their availability within that time range.
• ScheduleOnce syncs with my Google Calendar so that when I am scheduling a meeting, I can automatically see my own availability.
• When new scheduling conflicts arise, it is easy to go back and make changes to the available meeting times.
• ScheduleOnce automatically tells me which meeting times work for the most number of people so that I don't need to make the comparisons myself.
• ScheduleOnce notifies me whenever someone responds so that I don't have to keep checking to see who has already responded.

In short, ScheduleOnce has successfully streamlined the process of scheduling meetings by significantly reducing the amount of work involved in scheduling meetings, as well as maximizing the number of people who are able to attend.

I, and my superiors, have tried several scheduling systems—both online and off. Most of them were too complex to be useful to a varied group of people, or had hidden fees, or simply couldn’t deliver what they promised.

From the very first time I tried ScheduleOnce, it was slick, quick, and easy. The other people I was trying to schedule with (like people in most departments) tend to be of the sort that, if some new thing is in any way counter-intuitive, they simply bail out and go back to playing email tag. My department immediately took to this system. Everyone from technophiles to technophobes and the technologically indifferent logged their free times.

Instead of meeting scheduling taking a week or more, their crazy, overworked schedules were laid out clean and the meeting was scheduled in two days… not two weeks, two days.

Unbelievable.

I have used ScheduleOnce to schedule meetings across the globe with more than 2 people. I've had group meetings and individual meetings scheduled through ScheduleOnce and it's definitely the way to go for a global organization like ours!

I will definitely be recommending it to my colleagues to use this meeting scheduler, not just for international meetings, but also local meetings!

I teach writing at Ferris State University. I meet individually with every one of my students several times each semester and that adds up to about 1500 meetings I have to schedule each year.

ScheduleOnce has been an enormous time saver in scheduling and tracking all of these appointments. Because it connects to Google Calendar, I have access to it wherever I go, including on my smart phone.
