As an online teacher, one of the largest challenges I have had to face was connecting with students across not only time zones, but continents. How completely frustrating it was to think that all the calculations had been made correctly, only to have time change occur and have to start working out the kinks again, then someone recommended ScheduleOnce. This has been absolutely a tool that has taken a large stress off of me.
The lifesaver of this site is creating my profile and filling in my times of availability which is recurring, so I do not have to worry about it again. Many sites are set up so you must create each week of availability, not set it and forget it like ScheduleOnce. Now that I have it set up, I do not have to set reminders to ever think about it again, unless my personal schedule changes.
Holidays change your availability? No problem here! You can override for just one day without changing your whole schedule! Now I only have to provide my students the link and ScheduleOnce does the rest! I don’t have to worry about time change, or students not accounting for the correct number of time zones or anything! This has totally been a time saver!
Before, my students and I would play email tag, trying to set up a time that would work for both of us. Now I just check my Google calendar to see what is scheduled. This is fantastic! Not only does it place it on my Google calendar, but ScheduleOnce looks at my calendar and will not allow me to be double booked. So no more forgetting that I scheduled something on my calendar, but didn’t update my availability and now am double booked!
I recommend this to all my co-workers and anyone who has to meet with individuals. It is so easy, and completely headache free! This has definitely simplified my job and allowed me to focus on doing my job well.
